Designed during time as Studio Director at Christian Lahoude Studio

Set within the Aïshti by the Sea complex designed by David Adjaye, this project includes the design of the 2,100 sqm Urban Retreat spa, alongside bespoke retail fixtures and a building extension, developed while working in-house for Christian Lahoude. Originally established in London’s Harrods, Urban Retreat is reinterpreted here as a serene wellness destination overlooking Beirut’s coastline. The design translates the brand’s identity into a more relaxed, coastal context through a layered material palette—combining reflective surfaces, warm gold and purple accents, oak flooring, basalt stone, and soft tactile finishes—while each zone, from spa and salon to gym and café, is conceived as a distinct yet cohesive environment. Across the lower levels, we designed custom retail fixtures to harmonize with Adjaye’s façade, reinforcing a unified architectural language throughout.
